Almost There..

Lake Superior State University’s theatre students form up on stage for a dress rehearsal of Almost, Maine on Feb. 9. Critics compare the 2002 John Cariani play to the TV series ‘Northern Exposure’ and the popular indie film ‘Fargo.’

LSSU brings it to the Arts Center main stage at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 11-12, and 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 13. In a first for LSSU’s theatre program, the audience will view the production in specially arranged seating on-stage. LSSU Humanities Prof. Jason Swedene is providing live music before the show, and Prof. Lloyd Eddy’s art students will be displaying works they produced that are inspired by the play.

Also on opening night, LSSU Dance Prof. Joshua Legg will host a reception at the arts center.
