The African Caribbean Canadian Association of Northern Ontario (ACCANO) would like to invite the general public to join us in celebrating this year’s Annual Black History Month Dinner Celebration. Black History Month is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black Canadians as well as to share the history and culture of Black Canadians.
The dinner celebration will be held on Saturday, February 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the downtown Grand Gardens, located on 68 Dennis Street. The event will feature colourful multicultural dinner party menu, live music, door prizes, and a cash bar.
The theme for this year’s event is: “Our Canadian Story: Black History Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma region”. This will be a great opportunity to show case and celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black Canadians as well as share our history, local narratives, poetry readings, cultural music, dance, art exhibits, movies, and fashion shows among other exciting dinner activities.
If you would like to showcase your cultural art and craft items or any other merchandise and for more information or to buy tickets for the event, please contact the following:
