On January 30th City Police officers were conducting RIDE checks in the area of Pine St. south of Northern Ave. They had occasion to check a vehicle being operated by 22 year old Daniel Forest of Nicolas Ave.
Officers detected a smell of what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage when speaking with Mr. Forest. As a result, the officer read Mr. Forest a breath demand requiring him to provide a sample of his breath into an approved roadside screening device at which time he refused.
As a result, the accused was charged with failing to provide a breath sample and will be appearing in Provincial Court on March 7th.
