Five males charged

On Friday February 26, 2016, at approximately 10:00 am members of the Superior East Wawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision located on Highway 17 in the Brimacombe Township. At the scene officers observed a single motor vehicle in the ditch with severe damages.

During the investigation a large quantity of electronic devices were located within the motor vehicle.

Further investigation revealed that the items had previously been reported stolen from a business in Regina Saskatchewan.

As a result police arrested and charged Desmond Lomonte WALLACE (18) of Edmonton Alberta with the following offenses:

  • 2 Counts of Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 in Canada contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 4 Counts of Adult Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Richard Alfred KAMARA (22) of Whitecourt Alberta was charged with the following offence:

  • Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 in Canada contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Salem KOUDIA (22) of Whitecourt Alberta was charged with the following offence:

  • Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 in Canada contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Kudzai MUGADYA (22) of Edmonton Alberta was charged with the following offence:

  • Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 in Canada contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Simon Jiel UGUAK (21) of Edmonto Alberta was charged with the following offence:

  • Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 in Canada contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

All males were remanded into custody for Bail Hearing in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario on Monday February 29, 2016.
