Passport to Unity : A day to celebrate food, entertainment and culture!

PTUYears ago in the 1970’s, the Bon Soo Winter Carnival would wrap up with a big all day event, The “Feminique Fair”  non-stop games, entertainment, vendors and food. Fast forward to 2016 and now Bon Soo ends with Passport To Unity at the Essar Centre. Another all day event featuring multiculturalism, entertainment, vendors and of course, food.

Passport to Unity, normally held on the first weekend in May was moved up a few months to become the new anchor event for the winter carnival.

Thousands of people will likely walk thru the doors to sample great food and take in the entertainment. It also gives people a chance to see how many talented artists there are in the area.

The Bon Soo Winter Carnival officially wraps up on Family Day. The bumslides will be open and a family dance is planned at the Grand Gardens North and a family curling funspiel at the newly crowned Community First Curling Centre on Anita Blvd (formerly Soo Curler’s Club)
