On March 18, 2016, members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on regular patrol duties on Causley Street in the Town of Blind River.
At 12:13 p.m., police observed an eastbound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Causley Street. A traffic stop was initiated. As a result of the investigation, it was determined there was a child in the vehicle that wasn’t secured.
Ali, Nasser, ALJURAYBAH, 24 years of age, from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, was charged and issued two provincial offence notices for:
- Speeding, contrary to section 128 of the Highway Traffic Act; and
- Drive While Child Passenger not Properly Secured, contrary to section 106(4)(b) of the Highway Traffic Act.
