Special weather statement in effect for:
Sault Ste. Marie – St. Joseph Island
A round of rainy weather Wednesday night and Thursday.
A disturbance will spawn over Colorado tonight and begin to journey towards the Great Lakes on Wednesday. Rain is forecast to spread into the Great Lakes region Wednesday night and continue for much of the day Thursday. General rainfall amounts are expected to be significant, likely in the 25 to 40 mm range.
Some flooding is possible given recent significant rain or snowfall events across the area. Rainfall warnings may be required if significant impacts from heavy rain become more certain.
The storm will also help usher in much colder air behind it dropping temperatures to -5c by Saturday.
