Just 13 days to reach their goal, can it be done?


The United Way of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma is in its last weeks to reach its goal and if you’re waiting to make your donation you have until March 31.

The United Way report that as of Friday March 18, the campaign has raised $972,552 and that will help 9,726 people. To reach their goal another $27,448 is needed to maintain its current level of service , approximately $1,000,000

“We have reached out across the community to all our past supporters and made them aware of our need to meet our revised goal of $1,000,000 and our matching pledge.” a press release stated.

February 16th, 2016 United Way announced “ We have received a generous donation and our donor will match all “new” donations received from January 1st up to March 31st 2016 or until United Way raises $1,000,000.

Today, Friday March 18, 2016 Northern Credit Union Branches across their True North Strong Family are lending a hand to United Way. All branches across Ontario will have donation boxes available to their clients.

All new donations made in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District will be matched!
