The calendar says Spring, but we’re not done with the snow just yet. Sault Ste. Marie could see about 7cm between Tuesday and Thursday this week, not a lot of snow, but enough to make it look like winter again, at least for a few days.
Cooler temperatures are the call for this week, hovering just above or below the freezing mark during the day, dipping to -9c overnight.
These cooler temperatures will keep the snow on the ground until next week. In fact a few disturbances this week could dump another 5cm on the city by this Saturday.
The good news is, the snow won’t last. A slight warming trend will develop by early April and the warmth continues to build until the end of April. Then things really start to get warm in May. The long range three month forecast calls for a hot and dry summer in these parts, so if you’re not a fan of scorching heat, take in the next few weeks and enjoy the cooler temps and snow.
