Pawn shop slips leads to arrest


On the 2nd of November 2015, City Police located stolen property from a break and enter by way of checking spawn slips from a local pawn shop. Through the officers investigation it was found that there had been a break and enter to a residence on Pine Street on or about the 1st April 2015.

This Investigation was turned over to the Crime Suppression Unit which eventually led to the arrest of a Glen Bertrand of Clearview Drive on the 14th March 2016 for one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. Bertrand was said to have been out of town for several months prior to his arrest. The accused is scheduled to attend court for this charge on the 18th April 2016.
