Stay on your feet!

A fun afternoon for children and their grandparents at the Senior’s Drop-In Centre Thursday afternoon that featured the debut performance of the Sault Rising Stars with a message of staying on your feet.

Algoma Public Health, Safe Communities Partnership teamed up to teach children how they need to watch out for their Grandparants when it comes to slips and falls around the house.

_DSC3696SAFETY SUPERHEROES was the theme of the theatrical story time presentation aimed at children ages 4 through 10. The afternoon started with arts and crafts, music and healthy snacks were served later.

SAFETY SUPERHEROES was an intergenerational story that encourages bonding between grandparents and their grandchildren through a fun and interactive safety education presentation.

The children in the audience not only watched the show; they were given the chance to join The Sault Rising Stars onstage to act out the story with props and costumes. Each child also received a “goody bag” with take home activities and a Safety Superheroes Certificate.
