Cool night in the East End

Around  1,500 customers of the PUC lost power overnight due to equipment failure.

At 4:53am power was lost to sections of the east end covering the area of Boundary Rd east to Chambers, Trunk south to Bennett, Kerr west to Centennial, Ohio, Indiana, including Grandview school.

Power has been restored to most of the 1573 homes affected at 6:30 a.m.

Fourty-four homes will remain with their power off.

Line crews have isolated the problem to the area of Denwood Dr. and Joel Crt.

Grandview School is also affected.

Reason for the problem: equipment failure.
