Sault College will be having an open house on Sat., April 14th beginning at 10:00 a.m.
It will allow prospective students and their families to check out the campus for the first time as they make the important decision on where to attend college.
The staff, faculty and academic coordinators will be available to answer program-specific questions and provide campus tours of academic spaces.
Service providers from across the College will provide useful information to establish a level of comfort to those leaving home from the first time, and a ‘money matters’ session will give new students a chance to learn valuable tips on accessing the $1.8 million in financial aid that is available to them while studying at Sault College.
Applicants and families visiting from other areas of the province and country will have a chance to tour the Sault College campus, residence and the aviation hangar at the airport.
Plus, local recreational businesses will be at the College to fill visitors in on the exciting things students can do to unwind on their days off. In addition, prospective students who register and attend the Open House will be entered into a draw for $2,500 scholarship!
“We will showcase why Sault College has been rated number 1 by students for two years in a row. Our programming and services are second to none in Ontario, and we want to show parents and students that they should really only consider coming to Sault College. We will highlight that the Sault is a great city surrounded by unmatched natural beauty right beside the Great Lakes. We are also able offer an international experience to prospective students living right on the border,” says Rick Webb Director human resources and corporate communications.
Registration is now open, so prospective students are encouraged to visit www.saultcollege.ca/openhouse to reserve a spot at our Open House. Light refreshments will be served throughout the day and a delicious lunch will be provided free-of-cost.
In addition, students will have the opportunity to confirm their offer of admission on campus if they have not already done so. Prospective students will need to confirm their application by May 1st to reserve their spot in a program.
This event is open to the public and parking is suggested in the A-Lot located across the street from the College. Anyone who is interested in learning more or would like to attend our Open House Day are asked to register online at www.saultcollege.ca or to call Student Recruitment at 705.759.2554, ext. 2222
