Science Carnival attracts 1,500: photos

Over 1,500 gathered for the Science Carnival as part of the second Sault Ste. Marie Science Festival.

Parents and children gathered around the exhibits that ranged from worm composting to robotics.

Throughout the day on the stage were science exhibitions from Science North in Sudbury.

“We’re hoping it’s going to give them a better appreciation of the real world,” said Don McGorman from Clean North.

“We’re getting people to help us sort the worms from the dirt,” McGorman said about his team’s home composting demonstration.

He saw about 200 children at his exhibit.

Below are some photos of the exhibits today.
