Trapper’s Reunion Returns to Blind River Saturday


The 8th annual Trapper’s Reunion is returning to Blind River this Saturday, April 23rd, 2016. A pancake breakfast kicks off the event upstairs at the Blind River Community Centre with a pancake breakfast from 7 am to 9:30 am by cash donation.

The arena opens to the general public from 9 am to 4 pm with free admission. There will be over 60 vendors in attendance with something for everyone to see or buy. From fur garments and hats from Montreal to trapping supplies, knives, ATV’s, jewellery, locally raised beef and so much more. The Ontario Provincial Police and Ministry of Natural Resourses & Forestry will also be on hand with displays and to answer questions.

Barbecued food will be available from 11 am to 2 pm and the St. Joe’s Island Hunters & Anglers will have their famous Deer Tail Pastries. There is also a silent auction going on all day with something for every age group to bid on!

A Roast Beef Dinner, live auction and fur fashion show by Argirious Fur from Montreal is planned for later in the day. Cocktails begin at 5:30 pm with dinner at 6:30, followed by the live auction at 7:30 pm and fur fashion show at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $25 per person with limited quantities available.
