Break and Enters

Sometime overnight unknown culprits broke into a garage in the 200 block of Wellington St. E and stole a Supercycle bicycle with a motor on it. The bicycle is silver and red with a black gas tank and speedometer.


On May 17, 2016 at 6:50 P.M. city police arrested 35 year old Kenneth Megginson of Pineshores rd. Goulais River Ont. It’s alleged that the accused attended at Joe’s No Frill and stole merchandise valued at $19.30. He was apprehended by store security and turned over to Police. Megginson has been charged with one count of theft under $5000.00 and one count of breach of probation. He will be appearing in court on June 20, 2016.


On May 18th at 2:30am officers observed a vehicle being operated at a high rate of speed on Pim St. The vehicle continued on Wellington St where it was further observed driving erratically. Officers stopped the vehicle to speak with the driver on Elizabeth St. and determined that the driver was under suspension. The officer also detected an odour of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The driver refused to comply with the officer’s request and while the officer was speaking with him the vehicle accelerated away at a high rate of speed. Officers pursued the vehicle for a short distance and eventually located the vehicle and driver at his residence. 22 year old Christopher Osawa of Pine Street was arrested and has been charged with Dangerous Driving, Driving While Disqualified, Flight from Police, Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Refusing to Supply a Breath Sample. The accused appeared in bail court on May 18th.
