Dispute leads to charges

On the 15th of May 2016 at approximately 11:30am, patrol officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service attended in the area of Chambers Avenue and spoke to a male who had been involved in a family dispute. Further investigation revealed that the male was wanted on 2 outstanding warrants. As a result Christopher Rivard, age 32, of Constellation Place was arrested for 3 counts of Breach of Probation. The accused will attend bail court for these charges on the 16 May 2016.

Shoplifting

On the 15th of May 2016, at approximately 1:45pm Patrol officers were called to R.J’s Market for a report of a female shoplifter. Upon officers arrival an Amanda Morissette, age 57 of John Street was arrested for one count of Theft Under $5000 and released on an Appearance Notice to attend court on the 13th June 2016.
