Sault College will embark on a massive rebuild of its Northern Ave campus and will get a financial boost on Monday from MPP David Orazietti.
The college is planning on building over 15,000 square feet of new buildings and refurbish another 42,500 square feet that will be outlined in a presentation to council Monday.
The $21.500,000 project is expected to create 166 construction jobs and when complete would attract more students to Sault Ste. Marie, the report states.
The rebuild will focus on making the college one of the premier colleges in Ontario, the project must be completed by April 2018 to achieve its funding through the Ministry of Innovation Science and Economic Development .
The official announcement will be made Monday at Sault College.
