Rudyard, Michigan – The Night Hawks played one game during the week of May 23rd paying a visit to Rudyard Michigan to take on the Rudyard Varsity baseball team.

Despite three separate rain delays the two teams were able to get in a complete game with a very tough Rudyard Varsity team coming out on top 8 to 4.  The Night Hawks took the opportunity to get a look at a couple good young rookie pitchers and the Night Hawks were able to hold their own against an older team. Both pitchers Braedon Whalen with 4 innings and Tyler Sayers with 2 innings were very solid in the game with Whalen striking out 4 and Sayers picking up two strike outs.

It was a great team effort as the players got to see what kind of competition they will be up against this season with the upcoming tournaments that will have scouts in attendance.  Offensively the team was led by Brandon Boyer who went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs.  Also contributing hits for the Night Hawks were Brennan Mitchell, Braedon Whalen, and Cole Wright.

The Night Hawks season record now stands at 9 and 3.
