Soo Night Hawks Baseball Team Week That Was


Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan – Unfortunately due to the weather conditions, the Saturday May 14th Posen High School Tournament was cancelled.

Earlier in the week the Night Hawks had a tournament warm up double header in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan on Tuesday May 10th.  The Soo Night Hawks picked up a 16 to 3 victory of Sault Blue Devils in the opener and then fought back to win the night cap as well 8 to 6 over the Sault Blue Devils.

Picking up the victory in the opener was Noah Pearce with a complete game outing giving up just four hits.   Offensively the team was led by Braedon Whalen who was 3 for 3 with 3 runs and 3 RBI.  Dylan Sewell contributed 4 RBI in the game, and Zach Duchesne hit the first home run of the season for the Night Hawks.  Also contributing hits in the victory were Jarrid Smith, Dylan Sewell, Zach Duchesne, Noah Pearce, Cole Wright, Austin Hurley, and Noah Belec.

In the night cap the victory went to Dylan Sewell in relief and the picking up his second save of the season with 1 shutout inning was Stephen Bos.  Offensively the team was led by Brennan Mitchell with a 3 for 3, 1 run, 4 RBI game.  Also contributing hits in the victory were Joe MacLean, Stephen Bos, Dylan Sewell, and Austin Hurley.

With the two victories this week the Night Hawks season record now stands at 8 and 1.
