Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police need the public’s help in solving mischief to several buildings in the Township of MacDonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional.
Sometime between May 5 and May 6 2016, Echo Bay Central School on Church St. was vandalized by unknown suspect(s) who used spray paint to write a variety of graffiti on four of the school outside walls. Suspect (s) also damaged playground equipment by etching obscenities on them.
Sometime between May 6 and May 9 2016, the wastewater treatment plant located off of Highway 17B was vandalized by unknown suspect(s) who used spray paint to write a variety of graffiti on different areas.
Defacing property with graffiti is a crime. These acts of vandalism to public property are costly in terms of time and money.
