The local arts council is having their annual general public meeting.
Here’s their spiel :
“In accordance with our governing documents, the (Arts Council of Sault Ste Marie and District) operating as the Arts Council of Algoma & District would like to announce the Annual General Membership Meeting. This meeting will be held downstairs at the Sault Ste Marie Public Library at 50 East St. Sault Ste Marie, ON. June 30 @ 7 p.m. The membership, and partnering organisations are requested to attend.
We will be reviewing the recommended changes to the Letters Patent, by-laws, and policy & Procedure which has been an ongoing collaboration with Nordik Institute throughout the 2016 year. A copy will be made available in the office for review prior to the AGM.
The Arts Council of Algoma is also proud to announce we are “HOME”. Pursuant to the gracious and most appreciated offer by Mr. James McAuley who has offered the Arts Council the space at 104 A 369 Queen Steet. We are officially moved in and welcome all to come in to see us!
We are preparing for the Annual new Art in the Park Festival event and encourage all artists and artisans to renew your relationship with the Arts Council and register to be a part of this exciting upcoming event.
The Arts Council is also requesting any visual artist who wish to display and offer their creations to contact us via email for further information.
