Calling all baby boomers and friends, Queen Street Cruisin’ time is here at last!
Get those engines revving or grab your piece of pavement on Queen Street to watch the first annual Queen Street Cruise event.
Kicking off on Friday June 17 with Five Below Zero rocking the March Street Stage from 5:30 – 10 pm.
Stop by Reggie’s Tavern on Queen @ March to take in the “Show n’ Shine” Motorcycle Show with registration proceeds going to Heart and Stroke. Bikes will be departing from Highland Ford about 7:30 pm and will cruise to Reggie’s to set the mood for a great night downtown.
By 8:15 pm cars from the Great Northern Roundup will hit Queen Street ready to “rock n’ roll” the night away.
Cruise to the tunes on the radio and step back to days of nostalgia; everyone is invited to join in the fun. Just hop in your favourite set of wheels and join the cruise.
Take a break from Cruisin’ Queen and Bay, and stop off at the Essar Centre outside staging area. Listen to Rusty McCarthy and Jukebox Deluxe who will be pounding out the tunes from the 60’s and 70’s starting at 7:30 ’til 10 pm.
Saturday June 18 starting @ 9 am come visit radio personality Lou Turco as Oldies 93 will be live on remote. Heart and Stroke car show runs from 11 am to 3 pm. The party happens all day long with live entertainment.
At 3:30 pm the party moves to the Machine Shop at the former St. Mary’s site where live entertainment and food will take you to the grand finale at midnight.
