Local Medical Marijuana Clinic Opening Soon

BodyStream, a Medical Marijuana Clinic is opening a location in Sault Ste. Marie. Drew Craig, Clinic Supervisor tells saultonline that a downtown, March St. location has been chosen, and will open soon.

“Lease agreements are in progress at this point, and we should be open in early July 2016.” said Drew Craig.

Medical marijuana “Bodystream, which  helps people navigate the MMPR regulations is considered a consultation service. Patients will have the service covered by OHIP. We help determine if patients are eligible for medical marijuana. We help qualified patients fill out all the paperwork properly.” said Craig.  Bodystream is headquartered in southern Ontario.

The MMPR (Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulations) is the new set of rules for growing, buying and selling medical marijuana in Canada. It outlines a system for doctors, patients and large-scale commercial growers. These growers are called Licensed Producers. The MMPR replaces the previous rules of the MMAR (Marijuana Medical Access Regulations) which were officially repealed on March 31, 2014.

‘Our goal is to identify and treat the underlying conditions that affect peoples’ health and metabolism at a cellular level. We don’t just treat the symptoms of metabolic distress to provide short term results, we treat the underlying problems that create the symptoms.

At Bodystream we understand that every person is different and those differences require an individual assessment to understand what treatment will work best for them. This is what sets us apart. We look at everything that makes you unique and create an individual treatment protocol specifically tailored to meet your needs.

Knowing that certain people require different approaches we combine conventional medicine and cutting edge technology with alternative therapies, which allow us to provide a well rounded approach to your treatment.

Bodystream is Canada’s leading Medical Marijuana Service Provider, offering compassionate and comprehensive service to patients approved for the use of medical marijuana all across Ontario. Abiding by Health Canada’s Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR), our team of doctors and support staff are able to help you every step of the way towards obtaining medical marijuana to treat your condition or illness.’ www.bodystream.ca

‘The MMAR were repealed on March 31, 2014; however, as a result of a Federal Court Order granted on March 21, 2014, individuals who were previously authorized to possess and produce marijuana under the MMAR, and who meet the terms of the Court Order, will be able to continue to do so on an interim basis until the Court reaches a final decision. 1. grow your own weed, it isnt difficult why give the government the money especially when it is almost two times more expensive to buy it online than it is to by it off the street, they are just too greedy and dont care that we that are disabled have to live on an income that is equivelent to a 6 dollar an hour job????

  2. Far better for people to access medical marijuana legally than get it on the streets. If they knew years ago what they do about alcohol today, you would need a RX for it. Better to have it all regulated.

  3. After reading their website I see this clinics service includes registration and purchasing from a Licensed Producer … which LP is it, are they the most expensive ?? If you want to use a different LP does that mean they will refuse you service at the clinic ???

    • Need to educate yourself medical marijuana, believer that that trying to do it legally, then I fell ill and I was never a fan of marijuana for someone suggested it and I tried it, it works we better than the pills that they push on you you get THC llimit and a limit on how many grams you can order each month you can only choose one license producer and only you can sign for it when it comes to your door and they advise you on what strands will help your illness so if you’re ordering the high THC stuff and you don’t need it raises red flags, and for people that need it they have to travel to Toronto. Or if you do it online they charge you a large fee

  4. I think “where all the junkies are” statement was uncalled for…if you are referring to addicts…then you should educate yourself… addicts can be anywhere…even in your own family…was it because of the methu done clinic…? Not all their clients are addicts. SOME CLIENTS HAVE TERMINAL ILLNESSES which unfortunately cannot be handled through typical medicines that you or I could possibly take. I hear your concern but I don’t think it was necessary to be so sarcastic in your labeling of a certain group.. I think…if people educated themselves more on “addictions” and if our city had adequate treatments and mental health resources…we perhaps may be a little more empathetic.. just my opinion…
