Calling all baby boomers and friends of every generation, get out your bubble gum and cool shades as the first ever Queen Street Cruise hits the City Council meeting tonight!!
Under delegations, City Council will meet two of the coolest dudes, co-chairs of the Queen Street Cruise, and the idea guys behind this new event which ought to prove to be a winner for the Downtown.
Committed community volunteers Gary Trembinski and Joe Bisceglia will present the details to the Mayor and members of City Council today at 4:30 pm, dressed to reflect the era of root beer floats and hot cars with more cool dudes cruisin’ Queen Street.
City Councillors Rick Niro and Susan Myers are members of the organizing committee.
Myers says” this is just a great and fun event that these community volunteers have come up with and worked hard to pull off in a fairly short period of time. I really encourage everyone to come on out and join in the cruise in any set of wheels you have!”
The inaugural Queen Street Cruise takes place this Friday June 17 and Saturday June 18.
