This year’s Walk and Roll car show to support the Heart and Stroke Foundation packed the Essar Centre parking lot and brought with it a special couple and a special vehicle.
Deborah Devoe and Tom Hayes-Sheen (pictured) brought their 1928 Chevy ‘Downhill Screamer.’
This is the first car show for the car which Deborah says the car is still a work in progress.
What’s so special about this vehicle, “the wood wheels,” Deborah loves.
It was the last year Chevrolet made the four cylinder truck.
And what’s so special about their story is Deborah’s daughter was diagnosed with a heart condition at three days old.
It’s something that she still battles with today as they have to keep operating to fix the heart as it develops.
So that made this event a special one for Tom and Deborah.
Take a look at the gallery of most of the cars from today’s show.
