The annual Pridefest wrapped up Saturday with the Family Fun Day at the bandshell area of Bellevue Park. The 3rd annual festival that kicked off last Saturday with the Pride flag raising at the Civic Centre. The 3rd annual festival celebrating the LGBTQ community has normally been staged as the colours change in September but organizers moved it to be a summer festival to attract larger crowds to the many entertainment and social issue workshops during the week-long celebration.
About 100 people took advantage of a brilliant sunny morning, the walk began at the Pine Street Marina , up Pine to Queen Street to Bellevue Park. The Family Fun day features games, give-a-ways, entertainment along with various vendors.
