Break and Enters
Sometime overnight unknown culprits broke into a business in the 1000 block of Second Line West. Entry was gained through an open window and taken was cash money and beer.
Sometime between August 1st and 6th unknown culprits broke into a residence on Pim Street. Entry was gain by smashing in the rear door and 2 computers were taken.
On August 5th officers conducted a compliance check on 45 year old Thomas Wierzbicki of Wellington Street East. The accused was on a recognizance to remain in his residence and found not to be present. The accused was arrested later that day and charged with breaching his recognizance and breaching his probation order. The accused attended weekend bail court.
On August 5th at 2pm security at the Metro Store on Northern Avenue observed 29 year old Cody Cuthbertson of Franklin Street attend in the store and select various food items worth $15. It is alleged the accused left the store making no attempt to pay for the concealed products. The accused was arrested and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of his probation. The accused attended weekend bail court.
On August 5th officers entered into a domestic investigation involving a 24 year old female and 33 year old male. Information was received from the female victim that earlier this day she had been assaulted by the accused when he punched, slapped and kicked her at her residence. The accused also dragged the victim out of her residence and was hitting her with his sandal. The victim was able to break free and the accused then threw a case of beer at the victim hitting her in the back. The victim was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Further investigation revealed that the accused had been assaultive to the victim over the past months. The accused had sexually assaulted the victim multiple times; on one occasion the victim’s hands and feet were bound. The accused has been arrested and charged with assault (2 counts), sexual assault (2 counts), assault with a weapon, and forcible confinement. The accused appeared in weekend bail court.
On August 6th at 12:30am a female on Laura Street was woken up when an unknown male walked into her bedroom. The male grabbed a purse and Roots bag and fled on foot. The female called 911 and the K9 unit was dispatched to the area with patrol officers setting up containment. Officers were able to locate the 17 year old accused and arrest him for the break in. The accused has been charged with break enter and theft and for breaching his bail recognizance for failing to obey his curfew. The accused appeared in weekend bail court.
On August 6th at 10:30am police were called to a residence in the 300 block of Wellington St East for a male smashing windows of the home. It is alleged that 18 year old Brent Boissoneau-Stone of Hudson St attend the home smashed a window and kicked in a door. The accused then left and returned a short time later where he entered the home and broke more windows. The resident was not home at the time of the incident. The accused was arrested and has been charged with Break and Enter and Mischief and will attend court on September 12th
