Home Depot on Great Northern Road was evacuated and the parking lot cleared due to a severed gas line Wednesday evening.
Sault Fire Service responded to the call and evacuated the store of customers and employees when gas was leaking from a broken gas pipe when a driver of a fork-lift accidently hit it.
The gas was promptly turned off however the store remained closed for the rest of the evening as the building was aired out.
