Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services were kept busy overnight with a stubborn garage fire on train yard property off Carmen’s Way.
Firefighters on scene tell SaultOnline.com that they were dispatched to the area around 10pm Sunday night. Four pumper trucks , the rescue vehicle and aerial units were used in combating the fire. When the fire crews arrived on scene thick black smoke was seen coming out of a garage housing a number of trucks.
The cause of the blaze has not been determined, no one was injured.
In all 18 firefighters were needed. 8 were called in for overtime to contain the fire.
