STAPLES Canada and Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore are teaming up again to support the STAPLES Canada School Supply Drive.
The Teacher Appreciation Days are Saturday Aug 27th, Sept. 3rd and Sept 10th, 2016.
The Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore is further offering BBQ luncheons in front of STAPLES (Great Northern Road) from 11:00 – 3:00 on each of the three Saturdays to raise funds for the programme.
Kiwanis volunteers are also assisting inside the store on the above dates. They will be supporting cashiers at check-out, and seeking donations for this annual campaign.
All funds raised at the BBQ’s as well as donations from customers enables STAPLES to purchase school supplies at discounted prices in September. The supplies are then distributed to students in need through the Algoma District School Board and Huron Superior Catholic District School Board.
“The School Boards determine where the supplies go, ultimately, based on students they have identified as being in need of support.” shared Bonnie Marcil, Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore member.
Once the campaign is complete, STAPLES will bundle everything up and arrange for disbursement to Algoma District and Huron Superior Catholic District School Boards.
Way to go Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore. You are a tremendous community service club indeed!
