With heavy hearts, the family of Ted Newbery announces his untimely passing, at home, on Thursday, August 11, 2016.
Following a Master of Science degree in Forest Ecology, Ted pursued a career in research and education. Ted and his family – Alison, Lindrena and James – located in Sault Ste. Marie in 2008, where he was a program Chair at Sault College.
He was especially proud of, and noted for, his work in indigenous communities and overseas projects in Asia, Africa and the Caribbean.
Ted was devoted to his family, and loved his doggies, curling, golf and fishing.
Cremation has occurred. A memorial service for Ted will be held in St. George’s Anglican Church in Guelph, Ontario at 2 pm on Thursday, August 18. Reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to your local Humane Society or favourite charity might be considered.
A memorial service for Ted Newbery will be held on Wednesday, August 17 at 10 a.m. out in front of the Health and Wellness Centre (weather permitting). Gene Monin will be officiating. A reception will follow in the Common Link.
Offices may close to allow for those who want to attend.
