March 19, 1960 to August 18, 2016 ∼ It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Parsons at the age of 56. Mike died by suicide on Thursday, August 19, 2016.
He was no longer just sad, he was imprisoned in a powerful darkness. He will always be remembered for his courage during difficult times, unfortunately this time the pain was overwhelming.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Cindy Parsons (Errington) for 27 years and his much loved daughter Johanna Parsons. He will be dearly missed by his brothers George (Georgina) and Glen (Sheri) and their families, brothers and sisters-in law and their families. His large network of friends includes his Prouse Motors family, the local racing community and many friends in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. All of whom were close to Mike’s heart.
A Celebration of Mike’s Life will take place at Prouse Motors (851 Great Northern Road) on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Stories of camaraderie and sharing are welcome.
Memorial donations to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. In lieu of flowers, a donation of food will be accepted at Prouse Motors on Sunday, August 28th.
