Brookfield Renewable is proud to announce that the 2016 edition of its annual North American golf tournament was yet another success. The tournament raised money for seven organizations, including the Sault College in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, which will be receiving $31,250. Brookfield Renewable operates 24 renewable energy facilities in Ontario and we strongly believe in supporting higher education in regions where we work, live and operate.
This year, over 60 foursomes made up of business partners, service providers, employees and members of Brookfield Renewable’s leadership team, as well as some twenty volunteers, hit the course at The Marshes Golf Club in Kanata, Ontario, for the 12th edition of the company’s tournament.
“Each year, Brookfield Renewable, through the Charitable Giving Program, supports close to a hundred organizations throughout North America. The golf tournament is one of our most important events. Not only does it raise money for very important organizations, it also gives us the opportunity to bring together our business partners, our employees and representatives of the causes we support. Our community involvement is and remains a key element of our corporate culture, and we are very proud of that”, said Richard Legault, Executive Chairman of Brookfield Renewable.
