Nick Yurich recently celebrated 70 years of marriage with his beautiful bride Raili on June 29th. They married young and grew up together. As the years passed, with laughter, commitment, and an unconditional love, they enjoyed a wonderful life and incredible friendship.
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Raili on August 25, 2016 in her 88th year.
She was the true love and best friend of Nick. Dear Mother of Michael (Angela), Rick (Bonnie), and Debbie (Tom). Dear Gramma to Chad (Amanda) and cherished Mummu to Jade. Great Gramma to Erik. Daughter of the late Siiri and Eino Hietala. Sister of the late Taimi (late Ilmari) Laurila. Sister-in-law of late Lucy (late Nick) Mancuso,Mary (late Matt) Marinovich, and John (late Joyce) Yurich. Many nieces and nephews will fondly remember Auntie Raili.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. A Come-and-Go Celebration honouring Raili’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 30th between 1 and 4 pm at Grand Gardens North. Family and friends are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
All who knew our mother were well aware of her love of music and dance. If the music had a beat she wouldn’t hesitate to get up and move. We will miss and always remember the smile on her face while she danced.
The family would like to thank the staff at the F.J. Davey Home (Birch 3) for their compassionate and tender care. And thank you to Dr. Rossi for years of great care provided to Raili.
Arrangements are entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (705-759-2522). Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.arthurfuneralhome.com
