The Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Campaign is back! From today until this Sunday, September 18th, all Smile Cookies purchased at local Tim Hortons restaurants for $1 (plus applicable taxes) will directly benefit ARCH Hospice with 100% of the proceeds donated.
SaultOnline visited the Great Northern Road location this morning around 11:00 am where ARCH staff and volunteers were on hand to kick off the campaign with manager Ryan Ditommaso. While waiting for a photo op, Ryan was busy with his team baking a fresh batch of Smiles. They had already sold just shy of 1,000 cookies between the Great Northern and Second Line West locations in only the first few hours of the campaign.
In addition to supporting ARCH, the campaign also has secondary intent. To promote random acts of kindness within the Community. Buy a cookie for your neighbour, your dog walker, your boss, or even a complete stranger! Capture your random act of kindness on camera, upload your photo to Facebook using the hashtag #GiveASmile and you’ll be automatically entered to win a $100 Tim Hortons gift certificate!
Only 1 entry per photo. Winners will be selected at random and announced on Wednesday, September 21st via ARCH’s Facebook page.

ARCH Hospice provides quality, compassionate care through end-of-life to Algoma District families at no cost. The emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort of our residents and their loved ones is our highest priority. We offer a home-away-from-home during one of life’s most important moments: the
end-of-life journey. ARCH Hospice is only partially government funded, requiring $750,000 annually in community support as well as the generosity of over 140 volunteers to provide our services to the community. By donating to ARCH, you are contributing to the comfort of the entire community.
