Now that Summer is coming to an end, it’s time to turn our attention to harvest time!
The Ontario Finnish Resthome Foundation is holding their Harvest Fest Fundraiser this Friday, September 9th at the Algoma Water Tower Inn & Suites.
I am writing to you on behalf of The Ontario Finnish Resthome Foundation (OFRF). We are currently planning our Harvest Fest Fundraiser which will be held on Friday, September 9th, 2016 at the Algoma Water Tower Inn & Suites in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario.
“The 2015 Spring Fling Fundraiser, proved to be very successful with an astounding attendance of over 300. Since then, there has been a strong demand for an encore event and we are expecting to sell out this year.” said event organizer, Margaret Gardner.
For a cost of $55, OFRF will be providing a traditional multi course family style dinner, entertainment and more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of raffles and a silent auction.
“With an ever-growing aging population and a dire need for housing and services, the Ontario Finnish Resthome Association is committed to providing the best care for its residents, and supporting seniors in our community as a whole. The construction of Uusi Koti is almost complete but we still need your help to furnish common spaces.” said Gardner.
The funds raised from the Harvest Fest will be used to purchase therapeutic and accessible equipment that will make Uusi Koti a home for its residents. Some of these spaces will be open to the public.
“As a non-profit organization, we are hoping that you might be willing to support OFRF. You can do so by donating a prize for our raffle or silent auction. Your donation will be credited on the day of the event as well as listed in the event booklet.” Gardner added.
