December 2, 1930 – September 4, 2016 ~ Surrounded by her loving family, Hilkka Annikki ( Ekstrom ) Lampinen passed away peacefully at her home on Waltonen Road near Bruce Mines, on September 4, 2016, in her 86th year.
She was predeceased by her mother Anna Elisabeth ( Ekstrom ) Ansamaa of Sudbury ( 1986 ), her husband Unto Vihtori Lampinen ( 1992 ), and her sons Timo ( 1968 ) and Kaarlo ( 1969 ). She is survived by her daughter Annie Lampinen ( Garvin Boyle ), her son Victor Lampinen ( Heather Tener ), her grandchildren David, and Karen Boyle, and Adam and Christopher Lampinen, and her brother Lauri Ansamaa ( Lorna ( Wyper ) Ansamaa ), her sister-in-law Jane Allard Ansamaa and nieces Nancy Ansamaa-Friesen ( Fletcher and Raeann, Jerod and Mallory ), and Anita Ansamaa. She will be sadly missed by her dear friends Raili and Paul Piippo.
Hilkka maintained her wry sense of humour and concern for others throughout her brief illness.
The family wishes to thank Dr Haapala, Amy, Jeff and the many PSWs who helped us care for Hilkka over the past month.
Friends may call at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon on Friday September 9, 2016 from 12 noon until time of service at 1pm, followed by interment in Cloudslee Cemetery.
