On Sunday there will be a Life Chain

Once again, Sault Ste. Marie will participate in the national LIFE CHAIN. The Life Chain is held simultaneously in more than 200 locations across Canada each year. It occurs on the first Sunday in October, and for most locations, it runs from 2 pm – 3 pm.

Life Chain is an easy way to get involved in pro-life. Just join the LIFE CHAIN at any place along Great Northern Road. Signs are provided. Participants stand on the side walk for one hour with others who are not ashamed to be a public witness, and pray for an end to abortion and for those affected by it.

“This is the first year the LIFE Chain message has expanded beyond the original focus of abortion”, says Bill Murphy, one of the organizers. “The sign CARING NOT KILLING has been endorsed in Canada because of recent legislation on euthanasia. Our generation was the first to demand the right to kill its children though elective abortion and is now demanding the right to kill its parents through doctor-assisted suicide.”

One of the world’s foremost anti-euthanasia activists, Alex Schadenberg, will be a guest speaker at the Quattro Conference centre in November.

“Many of the people join LIFE CHAIN because they believe that the killing of innocent lives is wrong whether the motive is compassion or convenience. But others, men and women, who have been hurt by their experience with abortion want to warn others not to make the same mistake.” said Murphy.

  1. Ugh, they are not pro-life, they are pro-birth! There is a big difference. Are they going to provide for the lives they are apparently saving? No that don’t think about that part.
Pro-choice is what our daughters should be taught, and empowered with, they have that legal and moral right. The year is 2016 folks. I’m disgusted when I see the pro-birth pickets at the hospital. I feel for the women having to see that if they are on their way in to exercise their legal right to an abortion. AND I notice most of them standing there are men…u know what prevents unwanted pregnancies and abortion?? Vasectomies!
    My opinion only.
