Born October 22, 1923 just shy of his 93rd birthday, Norman passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2016.
Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joan, children Randy (Dawn), Jude and Darcy (Fiona) and grandchildren Hilary and Liam.
A WW II veteran, an accomplished painter and award-winning bird carver. In retirement, he returned to his first love, the violin. Norman was a long-time distinguished member of the Masons. He and his family moved to Sault Ste. Marie where he became Korah’s first art teacher. His portraitures and student mosaics beautify the school and the Civic Centre.
Our thanks to the staff of Maple View for their excellent care.
A celebration of life will be held at the Art Gallery of Algoma, on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 7 pm.
