Robbery at knife point

The Sault Ste. Marie Police are currently investigating a robbery that occurred this morning September 12th at Macs Mart located at 381 McNabb Street.

Just before 5 am two suspects entered the store one of whom produced a knife and demanded cash from the clerk. A small amount of cash was taken and the pair fled the area. Attempts to locate the pair at the time were not successful. There were no injuries to the clerk.

The suspects are described as follows
The first suspect is male 5’8″ – 5’9″, white, thin, wearing a grey zip-up hoody, sweater with the words “Miami Heat” on the front, his hood was up over his head and he had a black baseball hat on. The second male was 5’8″-5’9″, thin, had olive skin, and was wearing a black jacket with the hood up and black pants.

  1. for a community the size it is, I sure see what seems like a lot of crime there….
    How bad is it there? I ask, as I have contemplated moving there

    • If u dont like down or jib id advise against it…. The sault has a VERY dark shadow…. Beautiful when it comes to scenery…. But the amount of drugs and poverty lead to alot of crime/mentalhealth problems
