After a slow start to the season that seen The Total Precision Surveying Soo Jr, Greyhound Pee Wee Major AA start the season 0-4-1, the team travelled to Cleveland, Ohio this past weekend for their first tournament of the season, The Rock and Roll Cup.

The weekend started on a rough note on Friday with the Hounds being outworked and out hustled throughout the game en route to a 7-2 loss to the Allegheny Badgers.

Saturday was a lot kinder to the Hounds as they bounced back and skated hard to beat Pennsylvania’s Mid-State Mustangs 7-1. The Hounds continued the hard work and great play and never quit after being down, 1-0, 2-1, and 3-2 heading into the 3rd. They scored 3 unanswered goals in the third to beat New York’s Hamburg Hawks 5-3. This guaranteed them 2nd place in the round robin portion of the event and a spot as the number 2 seed in the Semi-finals Sunday morning.

On Sunday the Hounds found themselves down 1-0 early to the 3rd seed Mid-State Mustangs but battled hard to win the semi-final 3-1 and set up a re-match with the now undefeated Allegheny Badgers in the finals later that day.

The Soo continued their strong play jumping out to a 4-1 lead early in the game. Allegheny fought back but the Soo held on to win the game and the gold medal with a 4-3 victory.
