As the United Way presented at city council tonight, there are now 15,000 people in the Sault living in poverty.
Their previous efforts have faced 12,000 people but now that number has grown.
The United Way needs over $6-Million nationally through a 5 year plan.
This plan works with almost every level of attention to poverty through job attainment, retention, working with colleges and universities, and so on.
As for the particulars on our rise in poverty, that information was not presented as each delegation has limited time.
