Just after 9 p.m. Saturday night, the Wawa Volunteer Fire Department were called to what appeared to be a trailered generator or compressor burning on the shoulder, 10 kilometres south of Wawa (Line Lake area). The vehicle towing it had been disconnected and was safely parked a short distance away.
One lane was closed and officers from the Superior East OPP – Wawa Detachment were conducting traffic control. One lane was open, and the other was closed to allow the firefighters to work safely.
