Now that's a candy house!

The Sault College Public Relations and Event Management program  thanks all participants and sponsors of The Halloween House Build event that was held Wednesday.

The Algoma University students sponsored by D&R Plumbing finished first place.

14691109_10154603871147086_8913527347582370144_n20161026_180408Participants built Halloween-­‐themed cookie houses and were judged on their use of icing, candy, pumpkin incorporation, creativity, durability and overall appearance.

Each team was given 2 hours to build their house, and additional candy and permits were available to help the teams get a one-­‐up on their competition.

20161026_173711The Halloween House Build event raised approximately $2,600 in support of the United
Way of Sault Ste. Marie and district’s five-­‐year plan.

did a fantastic job overall and that they encompassed great leadership skills and learned the value of sponsorship within the community.
