Why Antibacterial Soaps are Bad for You

Although local city councillor Matthew Shoemaker appeared on TVO’s The Agenda with Steve Paikin recently, another Sault-native beat him to it.

Carly Weeks, health reporter and columnist for The Globe and Mail, was part of a panel that discussed the ban on certain ingredients found in antibacterial soaps.

The television show came after a ban on these ingredients was started by the United States Food and Drug Administration. You can watch Carly here.

The program talks about the banning of namely, triclosan and triclocarbin.

Canada has not followed the States yet on the ban but the panel talks about how we should.
