A big month for WeeWideVoice

November, 2016 is a big month for WeeWideVoice as it offers an audio and PDF version of Erin Hernden’s children’s story, Ellie & Sammie Churchmouse & the Sissy Seasons of Song, on her newly revitalized  e-commerce site, weewidevoice.ca

The children’s book features two little churchmice, Ellie and Sammie, as they come to terms with each other and a surprising love of music.  Ellie and Sammie’s musical abilities are based on the talents of soprano Kathleen Radke and musician Michael Connell.  For more news on the children’s story and all the folks involved in its production, please go to weewidevoice.ca.  You will see that it is indeed a family affair.

The audio book, with sound effects and music, was produced by Prince Albert, Saskatchewan’s award winning musician and producer, Rich McFarlane at his Mosaic Music Studio.  Hernden reports that although it was difficult to get together, due to scheduling and distance, she knew that Mr. McFarlane’s considerable experience and skills were the answer to making an excellent finished product.

Sound effects were provided by the virtuosity and inventiveness of both McFarlane and Connell; Ellie’s mousie opera voice was sung by Radke.  Their collective talents combined for a lively and entertaining recorded story.

In the audio version, soprano Kathleen Radke sings an original lullaby composed by Michael Connell.   Kathleen and Michael grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and first performed music together at the ages of eight and five.  Their lifelong love of music began as they sang as trebles in St. Luke’s Cathedral Choir.

Ken Hernden provided the final edits.  Erin Hernden, the author and narrator, is pleased to announce that the printed version, illustrated by husband Don, is now available on Amazon.com.
