On Saturday, November 12, 2016 surrounded by his family, after a long battle with sarcoidosis, Stephen succumbed to his disease at the young age of 49.
Loving father of Stephanie and Andrew. Cherished son of Souwtje and (the late) Jan Bakker. Dear brother of Yolanda, Ingrid (Peter), John (Bernadette), Irene (Murray), Marianne, Jim (Karen), Ronald, Jeff (Christy) and Angelica. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Stephen will be missed by his good friends Marc Mousseau, Allen Rix and many co-workers at Essar Steel.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 4 pm until 6 pm. Memorial service in the chapel at 6:30 pm. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the SAH Foundation would be appreciated.
