The Buck-a-Tire campaign returns and OK Tire is excited to help another local worthy cause.
This winter season OK Tire will donate $1 for every tire they sell to the Autism Ontario Sault Ste. Marie chapter! This is a small but mighty local chapter of parents and other advocates that volunteer their time to help local families that live with Autism Spectrum Disorder. There is parent support events, workshops, friendship training, sibling support, parent training, and social learning opportunities for kids with ASD. All money raised in this community stays in this community to support families.
“We were thrilled that OK Tire chose our charity for their annual Buck-A-Tire campaign.” says
Tanya Running, a member of the local Chapter Leadership Council. “We are a local chapter that needs every bit of support it gets. The money raised locally – stays local!”, says Running.
Last year OK Tire’s “Buck-a-Tire” campaign raised $1200 dollars for Break Away, a registered
not-for-profit organization for adults with developmental disabilities in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.
The year before that, OK Tire proudly presented a cheque for $1500 for the Canadian Cancer
Society and hopes to continue this annual tradition within Sault Ste. Marie
