Canada Red takes Russia; Canada Black beats USA


Even though Team USA beat out Canada Black in shots and scored late in the third on the power play, it was not enough to take the game.

Goals by Adam McMaster, assisted by Allan McShane and Adam Dudas, 2 goals by Ty Smith on the power play assisted by Adam McMaster, Tyler Popowich, Allan McShane and Aidan Dudas and a final goal by Allan McShane assisted by Aiden Dudas and Calen Addison took them to a 4-3 win.

Scoring for Team USA was Jake Wise (2) assisted by Joel Farabee (2) and, Ty Emberson and Patrick Giles, and a goal by Joel Farabee assisted by Jacob Smik and Bode Wilde.

Team USA was 2 for 4 on the power play while Team Canada Black was 2 for 6.

Sweden Doubles Finland 4-2

David Gustafsson scored early for Sweden assisted by Samuel Fagemo and Axel Andersson. Finland answered late in the period by Miska Kukkonen assisted by Santeri Salmela and Samuel Salonen.

Early in the second Marcus Westfält scored on the power play assisted by Samuel Fagemo and Oskar Bäck.

Karri Kapanen answered for Finland and tied it up at 2.

But that would be the last Finland would score on the night.

Jonatan Berggren assisted by Oskar Bäck and Lukas Wernblom as well as a goal by Samuel Fagemo assisted by Rasmus Sandin and William Fransson gave Sweden the lead.

Canada Red takes Russia

Shots were pretty well even between Canada Red and Russia until Canada scored in the third period.

Canada got three times as many penalties but neither team scored on the power play.

Shawn Element scored about five minutes into the third assisted by Josh Tarzwell.
